North Carolina airport uses comfort kittens for pre-flight cuddles.

On International Cat Day, which falls on Aug. 8, Charlotte Douglas International Airport in Carolina in the United States hosted a special Kitten Cuddle session between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Passengers who get stressed and anxious about their flights could visit the Atrium and cuddle with not one, not two, but 10 cute little kittens provided by Animal Care and Control (CMPD).

Generally, it is common for airports to offer stress and anxiety relieving services, as reported by Travel+Leisure. They mostly come in the form of cuddling with dogs, pigs and miniature horses. For the first time, Charlotte Douglas airport is ready to offer a pack of fluffy kittens as additional support to their official staff of 31 service dogs.
