UNITED AIRLINES PLANE MAKES EMERGENCY LANDING WHEN COCKPIT SCREENS GO BLANK MID-FLIGHT.

'If we had continued, eventually, I’d be flying blind'

A plane had to make an emergency landing when two cockpit screens went blank mid-flight.

United Airlines flight 4390, operated by regional arm United Jet, was en route from Knoxville, Tennessee to Houston, Texas, when it lost two cockpit screens.

It is believed to be due to a cooling issue.

According to ABC News, the flight was then diverted to Dallas/Fort Worth airport.

The pilot then announced to passengers that the flight had to make an emergency landing – because if it hadn’t, it would have lost all the screens.
