A young boy found wandering atop Hersheypark's monorail track was quickly rescued and reunited with family, according to a statement from the theme park.
The child became separated from his parents and was reported missing at approximately 5:05 p.m. on Aug. 30, according to a statement from Hersheypark spokesperson Quinn Bryner. The child entered a secured area for the monorail, slipping past a chained closure at the entrance and a barricaded turnstile. The monorail was not in operation at the time.
